Using piAccess Link with FMA 2.x
There are two ways to use piAccess Link with FMA.
From the Tools menu select Options. In the General tab, in the Serial Port section, set the COM port that you created for connecting to piAccess Link, as shown below. For more on how to find the COM port you can read the Bluetooth virtual serial ports section of the FAQ and the instructions on how to setup a Bluetooth serial port.
Another way, on Windows XP (with Service Pack 1 or newer), is to manually set the Bluetooth address of your phone and (RFComm) port, on which piAccess Link is listening to. This port number is displayed on the main screen of piAccess Link, while the Bluetooth address of your phone can be found from the operating system's list of paired devices.
Notes:
- Before you connect to piAccess Link remember to disable FMA scripting. To do this, go to the Script tab and either delete any script name or untick the box Enable Scripting (if unchecked the script will be loaded but not used)
- When running FMA 2.1, beware that the default behaviour is for FMA to use OBEX in order to retrieve the phonebook. This will cause phonebook retrieval to fail. You will have to disable OBEX retrieval first. To achieve this go to the Options window, then go to the Connectivity tab and disable it in the Protocols pane.
