Piaccess link on Panasonic X701

Description

I'm trying to install the Piaccess Link on a Panasonic X701 phone (it's the X700 brandized from Vodafone). I think there's no difference between x700 in the sistem, only in the appearance (logo, colors etc..), so i think it should work.

I'm able to install the application and the license file with no errors. but when i try to run the app it doesn't start. only switch for a second, like if the phone is trying to open it, and then close. Going in the installed applications menu, i can see the piaccess, but i cannot view the details. The license.sis file is not visible in the installed apps. I've try to made a soft reset but no way.

Some ideas? Thanks Rael

Rael,

This problem must be the same as the one that has been observed in the Samsung Series 60 phones. In order to verify you have to create an empty file called ErrRd in the C:\system\Bootdata directory. You can use any file explorer application, such as FExplorer (freeware), to do that. Then run the application and tell us the error code that was written into that file.

Thanks.

Hy, sorry for the delay, but my phone cracked :-( and i made a swap with another X701 :-). So now i'm working with a new phone.

I created the file ErrRd? in the c:\system\bootdata folder, but when i try to launch the piaccess program, it return a "Piaccess Link: system error ( -1)" and close. It don't write anything in the file.I remove the ErrRd? file=no errors. I check for attributes in the file (i thought it could have read only o similar attrib), but all is fine. Any idea?

I was mistaken, the error code is not written in the file, it's the one presented in the screen when you run the application (system error (-1)). As I expected, it's the same problem as the one appeared in the Samsung phones. Unfortunately, that means that at the moment piAccess Link won't support Panasonic X7xx series phones.

Depending on user requests we may provide a fix for that in the future. Through your piaccess.com account you can opt-in to receive email news for new releases, fixes etc., so when/if a fix is provided you will be notified.

Thank you for your interest in piAccess Link.

:-( I'm afraid about your news....

Anyway, if you need a tester for the piaccess on the X7xx phone family in future, i'll be avaiable ;-)

Regards Rael
