Description

I have downoladed and installed your piAccess. Then run on my phone and made bonding with my Mac (OSX TIger 10.4.6). The answer is: why piAccess cannot connect with the serial port I create after having installed your application on my phone and conncets with all the ports appearing on the cell without any problem? Obviuously, when I launch Megacell asking to connect through "serial port 1" the answer is "device not found". How can I be sure that the new serial port I create is the right one to connect to the phone? Many thanks

I guess the problem lies on how you set up a Bluetooth virtual serial port on your Mac in order to connect to piAccess Link. Detailed info on how to do that can be found on our support pages. Please follow these guidelines and in case you still have problems connecting we'll be happy to assist you further.

Dear sirs, you don't know how many times I have installed and uninstalled everything: on the phone an on the mac. The problem is that trying to connect from the phone throgh the serial port I created following the instructions my A1000 can't communicate with the Mac. Piaccess gives me three possibilities of connection: "Pda-sync", "Missing Sync" (Mark space software) and "serial port". If I ask to connect to "Pda" or "missng sync" the connection is immediate, but obviously does not match with Megacell. If I try to connect through "serial port" the answer is "looking for device" and nothing happens. In addition if I try to re-match my Mac from the phone the operation is denied. The strange fact is that only once (the first time I ran Piaccess on the phone) I managed in doing the connection. But when I tried again it was impossible. Thank you in advance.

The "serial port" you're refering is it a port that you created?

Have you tried to connect from the Mac to piAccess Link, instead of from the phone to the Mac?

Yes, starting the connection from the Mac it seems to work correctly but immediately a window opens with the message: "an error occurred". Then I click Ok and Megacell shows me only the records on the phone memory giving a wrong numebr of contacts (400 instead of 100), then the bluetotth connection fails.

Are you assigning the serial port through which you try to connect piAccess Link, as described in our manual pages? It's crucial to follow exactly all the steps in order to get your connection working.

Yes I did follow all the steps. Although the result is the error page (I sent you) and the possibility to read only the internal phone memory. When I try to go "deeper" the bluetooth communication fails. I am afraid the problem is due to Megacell to whom I wrote without answer.
