Piaccess link quits when sending sms

I'm using piaccess link version 1.1 (1103), Mac OS 10.3.9, Nokia N70 and Megacell X 2.6.1

Most of the features of megacell work, including sms retrieval, accessing phone contacts and dialling out. However, whenever I try to send an SMS using megacell, Piaccess Link immediately quits with no error message, causing megacell to report an unknown fault.

Any suggestions?

Well, when you mean that Link quits do you mean that the connection is dropped or that the application exits ?

Sending from MCX is fully supported and tested with those versions of MCX, N70, Link and Mac OS X, which makes this problem report quite weird.

Could you please tell me if you have ticked the option on MCX to also store the message on the phone, during sending.

Is it possible to create the directory on the phone C:\Logs\SMSBackup and tell us what are the last few lines on the log?

Thanks for your response. It is strange. In answer to your questions

(1) The Piaccess Link application quits when I try to send an SMS from MCX.

(2) I tried various combinations of sending SMS with the 'store message' option checked and selecting different folders, and unchecked. The Link app exits each time.

(3) Last lines of log files as follows:

Can you please create following file with afile manager on your N70:

c:\system\data\ErrRd

Doing so will tell us what the exit code is,note this downa nd report back please.

Can you also please tell us what the content of the SMS is? Is it just text ?

I created the file ErrRd? but after several app exits by link the file remained empty - should it have a particular extension and/or specific attributes?

The SMS being sent is plain text - just the word 'test'!

I tried using Link with GSM Remote and I managed to send SMS without any problem - I guess this means that the problem lies with the MCX rather than Link. I will contact them.
