Description

Hello, I just dowloaded Piacceslink and created a trial license. I send them to my phone ( samsung SGH-D720), and installed too the licence.sis file. The installation worked well, but when i try to launch piaccesslink, the titlle of the application appears for over one second then the app quits, and i'im back to the menu of my phone It doesn't read my files and I don't see the screens showed in your online manual. I use a powerbook G4 with Mac OsX 10.4.7

Could you help ?

PS:I tried to reinstall the phone with the bluetooth préférence, but piaccesslink doesn't appear in the list ( serial device) Awaiting for your response. Best regards Charles COHN

Hi, can you please tell us where do you install the SIS files?

This is a behaviour common to when the application is trying to find a library or resource file that doesn't exist.

Welll. I don't know exactly where the files are installed,. After the transfer of the .sis file from the Mac, the phone asked me if I wanted to install the new program. After that, I only had to click Ok and the installation was done by the phone. Is there a way to visualize the the path of a file with a symbian phone?

Some additionnal infos. When I acces the application manager on my phone, piAccesslink is listed as "installed", as well as piAcesslink licence. The icon of the app is also prsent in my main menu. So, how could i give you more usefull infos ?

I have (almost) the same problem .. so I'm assuming the same thing is happening .. whatever that is.

I've installed the app and the 7-day licence on my A1000 -- both via sis files downloaded by the phone.

The app is in the app list and I can launch it. It starts up to the point where it claims it's reading my messages. Then it quits without any sort of error.

I've restarted the phone to make sure nothing else extraneous is running, but still the same thing. I only have a couple of messages in there ..

Charles,

Excuse us for the short delay in replying, but we have been looking into it. Hopefully, we're going to have a SGH-D720 device in our hands next week and we'll let you know of our findings.

Charles,

Unfortunately this is a S60/Samsung bug that we cannot seem to bypass ;-(

I don't know what to say we'll try more, there is one last thing we could but I can't make any promises for now.

we are really sorry ;-(

Actually no, we believe taht we just found a workaround which we will try to release asap :-)

Unfortuantely I was mistaken. We've been looking at this on the D720 for days and we can't figure it out. We can't even get the panic code from it (there is away of doing it on S60 by adding the file ErrRd in the c:\system\data folder)

I don't know what else to offer. WE'll keep on going over it for the next few days though.

Still there is no progress on this and we're trying to contact someone at Samsung or Nokia, as it is evidently a S60 bug.
