piaccesslink.sis doesn't install on P800

the error message is: "Component failed security check. Cannot install"

then on details: "Certificate information could not be understood" ... and so on ...

I thought that piaccesslink.sis is not signed?! The first message on the P800 tells me that it hasn't been signed. So, why is there a problem with the certificate.

Best to try: a) re-package without certificate b) re-package with different production uid's (using the generic one for UIQ2.x)

Some old P800's don't recognise signed .sis files with newer signatures. thus will not install piAccess Link 0.9.

The irony is that although piAccess Link is not signed this still is a problem because it contains a Symbian Signed .sis file with the Mobinfo library.

Until Symbian release one .sis that isn't signed, the piAccess Link .sis file may include the Mobinfo.dll directly in its installtion file without signing. This is ok with the terms of usage, given by Symbian Developer Network.

This dll is found in the mobinfo.zip under the Mobinfo-1.01-v7-SEMC/epoc32_armi_urel folder.

Changed .pkg file to include the Mobinfo dll instead of the sis file.

Yep! I can install the sis file now on my P800
